VIDÓR was among the companies invited to participate in LinkeDinner, an initiative hosted by Universidade Católica Portuguesa at its Porto Regional Center, designed to bridge the gap between university students and the professional world through keynote talks, cocktails, and a networking dinner. 

The event took place on April 17, 2026, and featured the participation of Engineer Carrito, Technical and Production Director at VIDÓR, who introduced the group to the students in attendance. The session covered the company's business model and, in particular, what real estate development is and the role it plays in the country's urban and residential growth. 

What Is Real Estate Development

Real estate development is the process that transforms a plot of land into a move-in-ready home. The developer is responsible for identifying and acquiring the land, overseeing architectural design, securing the necessary permits, coordinating construction, and marketing the units to end buyers.  

It is a discipline that demands expertise across management, engineering, architecture, law, and finance — and requires coordinating multiple teams and milestones over the course of several years. The end result is a residential development that meets market demand and raises the overall quality of the housing stock.
